After obtaining some "Raw Chicken Breasts" from the wildlife while Hunting and Gathering, you'll need to cook it before eating. All the meat from the wildlife will be "Raw Chicken Breasts," no matter what animal you had killed. If you try to eat the food raw, you will be poisoned and lose points off of your health.
To cook the food you will need to find a campfire on Rust Island, or craft one yourself from the Crafting menu to the right of your inventory screen. All you need is 5 Wood to craft one.
With the campfire ready, click the activate button to light the fire (Should be the E key). Hold the activate button down over the campfire and click use to place the meat on the fire. Place your Raw Chicken Breasts on one of the three lower boxes on the right side of the screen. It's best to spread out the meat among the three squares so they can cook quickly, and simply wait until the raw meat turns into cooked meat.
Once the meat is ready to be eaten, place it back into your inventory screen to save for later, or eat it immediately. Currently, Chicken Breasts do not spoil and can be saved for later in a Wood Storage box or Large Wood Storage box. You'll need to keep the Food Bar above 500 to avoid the Hunger Condition.
